A Dream To Change My Life

I am writing this essay in hopes of winning a scholarship towards this program. I have always wanted to be a Medical Transcriptionist. For the most part, the majority of my jobs have been clerical and in the accounting field. I enjoy paperwork and typing. I am extremely efficient at typing and thoroughly enjoy doing it. I feel that to be able to type and do so in a medical field would be a perfect fit. I enjoy helping people, and enjoy learning things within the medical field. I feel that this would be a perfect fit for me. I also would love the opportunity to possibly find employment from home doing this. The thought of either working at home or in an office and getting more time with my kids would be a dream come true.

My family is of utmost importance to me and the opportunities that being a MT would bring would truly make a difference in my life. A difference that I have been looking for, and have spent a great deal of time researching into. I feel that the program offered by Future MT would allow me to obtain this goal. The program that you have put together seems to be the best and most efficient for getting the training and knowledge that I need to enter this field. It appears that you offer everything someone could want and need to get the proper certification needed.

I would love to obtain a position as soon as I obtain certification. From there I would like to grow my education as much as possible. I would love to be able to have financial security as well as the accomplishment that I was able to do this program, succeed in it, and grow within the field. The financial and personal growth opportunities this would afford me are hard to describe, but would mean the world to me.

To summarize everything, a scholarship for this program would truly make a huge difference in my life. It would allow me to take your program (after research I do feel that yours is the one to chose). It would open doors to a career that I have wanted for some time now. It would open a door that could possibly allow me to work from home, spending more time with my kids during the years before they enter school. It would allow me to be financially secure, possibly to afford some things that are wants and not just needs. It would allow me the self confidence and pride that comes with pursuing and accomplishing something that is part of the big dream picture for me.

If I am chosen for the scholarship, I will appreciate and use it. I will succeed with your program and will be extremely grateful for the opportunity. An opportunity that I would possibly not get if it weren't for your scholarship program. I would like to thank you for your time in reading this, as well as for having a program that seems to encompass all that is needed for a successful MT career!

Why I dream to be a medical transcriptionist

As soon as I saw this publication on the web while searching for a medical transcriptionist job on the internet it really thrilled me to go for it, because it currently is the job that I am involved in. I  have got the luxury of working for a medical transcription company presently and I received on-board training for it without access to any professionally outlined MT course as in Future MT. This was the initial fact that motivated me to spend some time on this essay with the hope of gaining a full scholarship in order to enrich my knowledge in an industry that really wants you to be updated on medical terminology as well as other skills and aspects that it requires.

Each and every individual would surely love to be a  manager in their respective job, mainly because the stress that is created while your work at a lower level cannot just be put into words in an essay like this. The medical transcription industry enables you to be your own manager and it also makes you to assess your skills and talents by each and every individual involved in the industry. This makes a person competent enough to face any challenges in life because this job make you aware whom you are and your potential to work long hours and strive towards reaching the goals of life.

The medical transcription industry to me is a knowledge and skill based industry which challenges you on each and every work you do to have your knowledge tested and updated. It is not merely editing reports or typing what you hear, it is all about applying the things heard appropriately and accurately.

In addition this is an industry that enables you to earn from the comfort and peace of mind  of your home environment, which most jobs don't cater even though thousands of professionals expect and look for. The biggest issue with an office based employee is the transportation factor, which for me really puts down your moral and enthusiasm to concentrate on the job, but an MT can simple sit at his own residence and work at his own pace and time without exerting any form of stress. This industry also makes you financially stable and enables you to think positively about your job.

The most interesting part that I find in this profession is the flexibility that it creates in life as it provides sufficient time to spend on your personal life.

My main motive to enroll in this program is to gain something sensational in life my obtaining a certified training in the MT industry, which would be quite handy in the future as this industry keeps on gaining heights. My goal is to work hard on this training course which I think would create a competitive edge for me to become a professional in this industry, as mastering the  trade in which you are involved in can always make you a master to lead the industry as it keeps going.

RN and Sole Financial Source for Family Seeking Scholarship

First and foremost, thank you for your time and consideration of my application for full scholarship in the Future MT course.  Currently, I am a Registered Nurse and the sole financial source for our family as my husband is a disabled US Army veteran.  In addition to the poor economic status of our state and country, we have a five year old son who will begin school in a few weeks, thus our budget will need to increase with the costs of school supplies, clothing etc.. Having been a RN for 9 years I already have a vast medical based knowledge.  In my career I have had experience in critical care, medical office, hospital and home health environments. In consideration of this, I believe that upon completion of the MT program I will be a sought after candidate for entry  to mid level positions.

I began considering medical transcription certification over one year ago, however we are unable to afford the course due to our limited budget. Being awarded this scholarship would provide the assistance I need to achieve this goal for myself and my family.  I am certain that this course will further my career in the healthcare field and provide me with a resume that differs from my fellow registered nurses.  By completing this course, I am sure that my opportunities will be lucrative and beneficial to my family and for myself professionally.  I am quite drawn to the advantages that a medical transcription certification provides today.  The flexibility of work environment and schedules are just two of the attractive aspects of the field. The advantages to the medical transcription fields are only limited my ones imagination.

There are many avenues that can be taken in this field and I look forward to exploring them all and deciding which will be best for myself and my family.   My goal would be to specialize in multiple disciplines that would allow for advancement in the field and ultimately allow me to start my own medical transcription service. It has been my lifelong aspiration to run my own business and this course will make that next level of professional development reachable for me.   It is of the utmost importance to me to be considered for this scholarship as it will allow for me to better provide for my family, take the worry from my disabled husband, and escalate my career in the healthcare field. I have investigated many medical transcription courses online, however Future MT is by far the best fit for my personality and lifestyle. The self paced basis of the course and multiple resources provided are leaps and bounds above other courses offered online.

I feel that I will be an ideal candidate and an excellent, successful student as I already hold an Associates Degree in Science, a Registered Nurse license, and have had over 2 years of medical college level courses.  Again, please accept my gratitude for your consideration of me for this scholarship.  I look forward to beginning the Future MT course very soon.

Essay Written By Murielle Hardwick:

Scholarship Essay Submission

Hello, my name is Murielle Hardwick. I am interested in becoming a medical transcriptionist because of an interest in the medical field but not directly with the patient. Recently becoming divorced, after being married for fifteen years and verbally abused, I need to get a beneficial skill that will be fulfilling for me. After much research, this has led me to the medical transcriptionist field. There are many advantages of working in the MT field. With the vast amount of outsourcing, this saves hospitals and medical professionals time and money. Outsourcing provides good opportunities for medical transcriptionists who choose to work from home. Transcriptionists can begin their career in a hospital setting to gain valuable experience and then migrate to a home-based MT business. The advantage for me would be the flexibility to work from home and in the medical field, but not directly with the patient.

Being trained as a medical transcriptionist also gives me skills to make a great income and re-enter the workforce after being out of the workforce for fifteen years. I received an email about becoming a medical transcriptionist, the email directed me to the Future MT website. I have been searching periodically for an option where I could enter the medical/health field and often looked at medical transcription jobs but had no experience. Unable to afford the training, I put that desire on hold temporarily. After looking over the Future MT website I was thoroughly impressed. The self-paced training in addition to the length of the program is very attractive to me. It seems as though Future MT is thoroughly interested in helping students achieve their goals and there for assistance when needed.

Being accredited by the Better Business Bureau is also big for me. This lets me know that the reputation of Future MT is not a scam or fly by night school only interested in financial gains for themselves. It appears that Future MT gives students all of the knowledge and tools needed to become successful as a medical transcriptionist, whether one decides to work in a hospital or from home. These are the types of key elements that I am seeking from a school. Having looked at other programs, I didn't get the 'warm and fuzzy', that is difficult to get online. I believe that the Future MT program will give me what is needed to be a successful medical transcriptionist. My current educational goal as a medical transcriptionist is to get trained with a good program, with a self-paced online program.

After being trained, I would like to start doing medical transcription from home part-time. I would like to continue this education further with some business education that will in 5 years or sooner enable me to start a medical transcription business and be able to employ women who want to become a medical transcriptionist. Thank you for the opportunity to submit my essay for a full scholarship. I look forward to participating in the medical transcriptionist program with Future MT.

My Future in Medical Transcription

My name is Chelsea Bryant. I am a 24 year old married mother of one, looking for a school and a career that I can do from home. I would like to take the opportunity to tell you why I am interested in Medical Transcription and the Medical Transcription training course offered by Future MT. I have always had an interest in an occupation in the health care field, but my desire to help others was magnified when I saw the benefits that physical therapy had with my Grandma. She was treated with exercises and modulation from physical therapy. When I saw how much the physical therapy increased her enjoyment of life, I knew that I wanted to help others in the same way. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Health and Human Performance with a Business minor in December of 2008. I enjoyed my classes and the information I learned about health and the important role it takes in all our lives.

I had planned to continue my education and become a Physical Therapist with the hopes of helping people achieve a better quality of life. However, two days after my college graduation, my husband and I found out that we were expecting our first child. We were quite surprised and realized that our plans for the future were going to have to take a different path. Once our beautiful daughter was born, my husband and I knew that I was meant to stay at home with her, even if it meant that I had to give up an income and the chance to continue my education. I have been willing to spend less money in order to stay home with my daughter, but I would love to be able to generate an income again, especially in this declining economy. I know the unstable economy is on many people's minds, and I do not want to feel afraid like so many other people do. The Future MT program would give me the opportunity to continue my education while working around my schedule and allowing me to stay home with my daughter.

I absolutely love learning. I enjoy the challenge I get when trying to push myself to do something new. I think the Future MT program would be perfect for my lifestyle, because I would be able to work on my own. The convenience of the Future MT program is great, allowing me to work on my classes in my own home. I am extremely motivated, and look forward to being able to push myself to complete the program as quickly and efficiently as possible. I want to begin a career as a Medical Transcriptionist soon, so I will work hard to complete my course promptly. I know that working as a Medical Transcriptionist will work great with our schedule. My best friend is a Medical Transcriptionist who works from home so she can care for her daughter as well. She loves the satisfaction she gets from working hard and doing well at her job, as well as being able to take care of her child. I want to have that same satisfaction, and I know that Future MT can give me that feeling. Thank you for the opportunity to explain why I want a Medical Transcription career and why I want to obtain that career through Future MT.

Essay Written By Katie Chase:

A Ray of Hope

For many reasons throughout the last few years I have desired to further my horizons by seeking training as a Medical Transcriptionist. Having had close personal friends in the industry I have learned firsthand the benefits that come from this profession. These benefits, including being closely available while providing for my expanding family and maintaining a sense of accomplishment, have been a great driving factor in my decision to venture down this new career path. It has always been a dream of ours, my husband and I, to be able to maintain the quality of life that allows me to be home with our children. We are currently expecting our first child in July 2010. This is the most exciting and wonderful time in our lives. However we can’t ignore the harsh reality of the times we are living in. Jobs are scarce and income is limited. Our dream seems more and more impossible with each passing day. In spite of this I am determined to do what is necessary in order to accomplish what we’ve set our hearts and minds to do. A career in Medical Transcription became a desire of mine a few years ago. During that time my husband and I were the sole caregivers for his grandmother. It was a wonderful yet trying time in our lives. I spent many long nights in the hospital and at her bed side helping her through her last years on earth. She passed away June 2009 with her family beside her. The reason I mention this experience is because during these couple years I gained a great appreciation and interest in the medical field. First desiring to seek training as a nurse, it was to my great disappointment to find out the expenses that went along with seeking such schooling. Also, considering our desire for me to remain at home once we started to build our family I made the decision to find another way to be a part of the medical field. After seeking guidance from friends and family I was introduced to the idea of becoming a Medical Transcriptionist. I was immediately intrigued and started researching different training programs. Again, to my disappointment, my hopes were marred as I realized the hefty bill that tends comes along with this type of training as well. The only factor hindering me from fulfilling my goals is the cost of tuition. Having searched long and hard, and to no great avail, for an online training course for Medical Transcription that would offer a scholarship program I finally found Future MT. I couldn’t pass this opportunity. Your scholarship program offers me a ray of hope to fulfill our desires for our family and my personal goal to be a part of the medical field. I am excited even more at the prospect of becoming a student by the benefits you present to those who enroll. Your assistance in job placement offers your students the security knowing their decision to enroll will not be wasted. I appreciate your consistent availability to your students for assistance during the course of instruction. I feel very confident in your programs ability to prepare me to be successful as an MT and eventually to obtain my certification. With your help I will not only be able to establish a fruitful, long lasting career with a good employer. I will also be able to remain close to my family and be the mother I’ve always wanted to be. Therefore, I thank you for this opportunity and for your consideration for the Full-Tuition scholarship. Being accepted for this award will no doubt impact the rest of our lives by providing a bright future for our family.

Medical Transcription With Future MT

1. I want to become a medical transcriptionist because i want to earn money daily. The story of my life goes this way, I am a working student and a college scholar with free tuition fee due to the reason that we do not a belong to a well off family. My parents don't have enough income to send us to college and to provide for our needs. But, I am proud to say that I finished my studies of Bachelor of Science in Home Economics major in Food Business Management. Sad to say I got pregnant at the age of 22 years old, which is why i do not have any field experience yet. The problem now is that I became a single mom without any source of income and the father of my son is not supporting us and i do not know where he is. I don't want to depend on my parents too and I am not expecting too much from the father of my son. My son now is 1-year-old and growing so fast. I am very much afraid i cannot give him all he needs and wants for the daily living. I am afraid I may not send him to school due to financial instability. I want to give him a good life as well as the way of living the same to children who belong in a well off family. 2. Some advantages of working in the MT industry is to enhance your knowledge, working skills, and capacity if you are capable on it. The flexibility of working from the home helps you to feel comfortable in doing paper works. And also it would be a lot easier if you use your own computer and availability in internet access. Being more independent is not to depend unto other ideas and you are oblige to exert effort to do all the process until your done on it. The ability to spend time with the family is up to you because you are the one making the money. The only good thing is that nobody will reprimand your to work. Your time is your money. 3. My eagerness and interest in earning money influenced me to train with Future MT. This not only for my own benefit but this is also for my son, for his future. 4. If given a chance to become a successful Certified Medical Transcriptionist I want to start my own MT Business. I will be the one to teach my workers the proper rules and regulations to be followed. I will share it to them what i learn in MT to maintain the positive record of my business. I won't deny that I want to be rich and to prove to everybody that a single mom like me can raise his son even without the support of his father. I want to build my own house with complete appliances, buy a car, buy a farm, and give to my parents and siblings the things they didn't encounter before and feed them delicious food.

Medical Transcriptionist

I am a stay at home mom, and have been for three and a half years. I have three beautiful children Evelyn age 3 years, Korban age 20 months, and Elias age 7 months. They are my inspiration for becoming a MT. Since before my first child was born I have been looking for a way to make a decent income while staying home with my children. I have searched and searched, but keep coming up empty handed. I have even obtained a web design certificate in hopes of doing that from home, but unfortunately the course left me slightly under qualified with loans to pay off. I recently discovered the field of medical transcription. After doing some research I found this field to be very promising with the ability to make a decent living from home. With three children and no degree the world makes it very difficult for me to find a job that won't just pay for child care. My husband also feel very strongly about one of us staying home with our children to teach and train them while they are young. Being a MT would allow me to be there for my children and husband, and even continue in the field once my children move on to school. This would also give my family the financial freedom that will allow my husband to finish his education. The more experience I get the more opportunity I will have to move up in the field. My goals in moving up in this field would be to first, finish my MT education. After graduating I would look for an MT employment position that I could become established in the field for three to five years. Once I become well established as a Medical Transcriber I would aspire to start my own MT business. Having my own business would allow me to help other people in similar circumstances as my own to accomplish their goals through the MT field. After looking at a few schools I decided Future MT would be an excellent choice for me. The inclusion of all the textbooks and materials needed for this course will give me confidence in feeling completely prepared for this course. I have been in a situation where I had to purchase new material for a class when I had no money, and I ended up not receiving the fullness of what that class offered. With everything included in one price I feel I will receive everything I can from each class. I learn best with hands on experience, and the Future MT curriculum will provide me with this sort of training. I also find that I am a better student in a non traditional school environment where I can study at my own pace. Looking at the course overviews I feel I will be well prepared for the work field after completing this course. Also, the job assistance after graduation is a quality I look for in a school. It tells me that the school cares and is interested in helping their students succeed.

Why do you want to become a medical transcriptionist

October 16th 2004, I will always remember where I was at every minute of that day. Why, you might wonder, it is the day my father lost his 10 month battle with small cell carcinoma of the left lung. December 14th 2003, the day my parents were given the diagnosis of this disease, "Mr. Gomes you have Lung Cancer", we are scheduling you for your 1st cycle of Chemotherapy on December 16th" Our world fell apart. My dad had begun his journey to the end. Every trip to the hospital was good and not so good news. Some of the physicians and nursing staff we encountered were compassionate others were "just doing their shift ". This drove my mother and I crazy. Lack of knowledge about the disease, about what the treatments meant, what the reports told us, being left at the mercy of the on call doctor/s and nursing staff to transcribe the reports within the 5 minutes they had to spare before they skipped off to the next patient was exasperating. I never got to spend as much time with my father, he was always working to give my mum and I a good life. While he was focused on this, life floated by. His dreams of retiring at the age of 65 to spend time with his grand kids in the US and to travel to the parts of the world he had not visited. To open a woodwork shop where he could design and manufacture custom made furniture, which was his passion. To spend time in his garden.to take long drives through the country side in England . I got to spend 3 precious weeks with him before he passed away. I am grateful for those 3 weeks. From that I learned how important it is to make memories with your kids for that is all they will have once you are gone. This brought me to deciding on becoming an MT. The flexibility of working from home, part time and or full time. In September 2009 I entered the medical field when I signed up for night school to become a Medical Administrative Assistant. This gave me ability to read and understand medical terminology and get a better understanding of the medical world and its workings. Medical Transcription, was my next level of achievement, it will give me the freedom of working at my own schedule which allows me time with my family. In the ever changing world of Health Care and all the reforms that are coming to us, I see how important the medical personnel has become. I am determined to make it in this field, for the love of the medical field and all that comes with it. I owe all my higher education, to both my parents. One who is living and should she have medical issues, I will be in a position to have a better understanding of the medical terminology and reports. To the wonderful man that drew his last breath on October 16th
